ORDER

(Made by N.Sathish Kumar, J.) This habeas corpus petition has been filed seeking to direct the first respondent to produce the petitioner's daughter viz. Vijilalitha, aged 29 years and grand children viz. Harishdev.K, aged about 8 years and Pragiyasri.K, aged about 5 years, before this Court, from the custody second respondent and set them at liberty.

According to the petitioner, his daughter Vijilalitha, aged 29 years and grand children viz. Harishdev.K, aged about 8 years and

Pragiyasri.K, aged about 5 years, went missing from 21.09.2025 and they are in the illegal custody of the second respondent. 3.

On instructions, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that on a complaint filed by the petitioner a case in Mayiladuthurai Police Station Crime No.733 of 2025 has been registered on 21.09.2025 for "woman, boy and girl missing" and during the course of investigation, it came to light that the petitioner's daughter has eloped with one Kalidoss, second respondent herein and investigation is in progress. 4.

In such view of the matter, the police shall continue with the investigation and secure the detenue. As and when the detenue Vijilalitha, aged 29 years and her children Harishdev.K, aged about 8 years and Pragiyasri.K, aged about 5 years, are secured, they shall be produced before the Magistrate Court, concerned, under intimation to the petitioner. On such production, the learned Magistrate shall pass appropriate orders with regard to custody in accordance with law.

With the above observation and direction, this habeas corpus petition

stands closed.
