ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by N.Sathish Kumar J.) This writ petition has been filed to direct the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner seeking 6 days emergency leave for her son/detenu, T. Suresh.

2. According to the petitioner, her elder son/detenu was convicted and sentenced to life imprisonment for the offence under Section 302 IPC, and he has been in prison for more than 15 years. The petitioner, who is the mother of the detenu, is suffering from uterine cancer. For making necessary arrangements relating to her medical treatment, she gave a representation seeking 6 days emergency leave for her son/detenu. However, the same has not been considered so far. Hence, the present petition has been filed. 2/4

3. Heard the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, appearing for the respondents and perused the materials available on records carefully.

4. In view of the limited prayer in this Writ Petition, without expressing any opinion on merits of the matter, the respondents 1 and 2 are directed to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 17.09.2025 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of two(2) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order.
