O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to issue a direction to the respondent herein to file a final report before the competent Court in Crime No.196/2022 registered on 15.09.2022, on the file of the second respondent-Police within a time limit.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondents and perused the materials available on record.

3. On a perusal of the records, it is seen that the petitioner herein filed a complaint under Section 200 Cr.P.C., before the learned Judicial Magistrate No.I, Ulundurpet, seeking direction to the respondent-Police to register a case based on her complaint. The learned Magistrate had

also directed the respondent-Police to register the case and investigate the same. Accordingly, case in Crime No.196 of 2022 was registered on 15.09.2022 against the accused persons. Since the respondent-Police have not filed final report so far, the petitioner is constrained to file this criminal original petition.

4. The case in Crime No.196 of 2022 is pending from 2022 onwards. Hence, the Investigating Officer concerned is directed to file a final report within a period of two months, failing which, the Superintendent of Police, Kallakurichi is directed to appear before this Court.

5. With the abovesaid direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
