Taken up as Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issue of Writ of Mandamus to direct first and second respondents to take necessary action against the third and fourth respondents for ingressing the 82 year old-woman Meenakshi of E.Pudur, Tiruchirapalli District, who virtually remained a prisoner in her own house over month without any access. O R D E R

(Order of the Court was made by The Hon'ble Chief Justice) Learned Government Pleader states with reference to the detailed order passed on 07.07.2004 that the issue, which gave rise to the suo motu proceedings, stands resolved as there is access made available to the Lady. He is, however, once again not able to state before us (as was the position on 07.07.2004) as to what happened to the charge memo and what action was taken against the delinquent officer.

2.We, thus, close this petition with a direction to respondents 1 and 2 to place before us by an affidavit the final position regarding the charge memo issued and the punishment visited upon the officer concerned.
