For petitioner : Mr.M.Guruprasad in both petitions For respondent: Mr.S.Sugendran, Addl.P.P. in both petitions COMMON ORDER Criminal Original Petition No.32695 of 2024 filed praying for a direction to dispose of C.C.No.100 of 2018 pending on the file of Judicial Magistrate, Sathyamangalam, as expeditiously as possible, within the period of stipulated time by appreciating the above said facts and circumstances.
2. Criminal Original Petition No.32696 of 2024 filed praying for a direction to dispose of C.C.No.68 of 2018 pending on the file of Judicial Magistrate, Sathyamangalam, as expeditiously as possible, within the period of stipulated time by appreciating the above said facts and circumstances.
3. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent submitted that though initially the charge sheet was quashed, vide order of this Court, dated 06.10.2022 in Crl.O.P.Nos.14973 of 2019 and 10554 of 2019, and the order dated 06.10.2022 in Crl.O.P.Nos.14972 and 10551 of 2019, subsequently, the Supreme Court had set aside above said both the orders of this Court, in Petition for Special Leave to Appeal (Criminal) No.5805 of 2023, dated 10.09.2024 and directed to proceed with the trial. But, the trial Court had not taken any steps to dispose of the cases. The cause of action is of the year 2 / 4
2018.
4. Hence, both the parties are directed to co-operate for the trial before the trial Court and the trial Court is directed to conduct the case on day-to-day basis and expedite the trial and dispose of both the cases, within a period of six months from today, after giving notice to the parties and on merits and in accordance with law.
5. With the above observations and directions, these petitions are disposed of.
