The present Writ Petition (Criminal) has been filed seeking a direction to respondents 1 & 2 to defreeze the petitioner's bank account No.020805006661 maintained with the third respondent bank, based on the petitioner's representation dated 08.07.2025. When the matter was taken up for hearing today, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for respondents 1 and 2 submitted that a communication dated 21.11.2025 has been sent to the third respondent bank under Section 94 of the BNSS (corresponding to Section 91 Cr.P.C.) seeking to defreeze the petitioner's account with their bank. However, the respondent Police understands that, based on the request made by the NCRP, the petitioner's bank account has been frozen. Recording the submissions made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this Writ Petition (Criminal) stands closed. However, the 2/4
petitioner is at liberty to challenge the order of the NCRP issuing directions to freeze his account. No costs.
