This Criminal Original Petition is filed to quash the FIR in Crime No.232 of 2024 dated 25.09.2024 on the file of the Inspector of Police, Sathanur Dam Police Station, Tiruvannamalai.

2. Learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the first respondent-Police, on instructions, submitted that based on the complaint given by the second respondent herein/de-facto complainant, the first respondent-Police registered a case in Crime No.232 of 2024 on 25.09.2024 against the petitioner for the offences punishable under Sections 329(4), 75(1)(i), 75(2), 76, 351(3) of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023. He further submitted that investigation is almost over and final report will be filed by the respondent-Police as early as possible. Hence he seeks time to file final report.

3. Considering the facts and circumstances and also considering allegations levelled against the petitioner, this Court finds that prima facie there are materials to proceed with the case against the petitioner further and this Court does not find any reason to quash the F.I.R against 2/4

the petitioner. However, the first respondent-Police is directed to complete the investigation and file a final report within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above directions, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
