O R D E R
The Order dated 24.09.2003, issued by the Revenue Divisional Officer and Sub Divisional Magistrate, Vridhachalam, is under challenge in this Writ Petition.

The petitioner was running a Lodge near the Bus Stand at Vridhachalam for about ten years. He had obtained required licence and was paying the fees to the Vridhachalam Municipality. During the inspection, it was found that certain illegal activities were going on in the lodge and accordingly, the Revenue Divisional Officer, Vridhachalam passed an order in Proceedings dated A5/4450/2003 dated 24.09.2003 under the provisions of Immoral Traffic Prevention Act 1956.

On perusal of the order, it is found that the owner of the lodge itself had accepted the offence. Therefore, the charge against
the lodge owner was proved beyond doubt. Thus, the Revenue Divisional Officer imposed the punishment of closure of lodge for one month under Sec.18 of Immoral Traffic Preventiion Act 1956. Since the order was passed on 24.09.2003 and the punishment period of one month had already expired long back, further adjudication in this writ petition is unnecessary. Accordingly, the writ petition stands dismissed.
