This petition has been filed seeking to issue writ of mandamus, directing the 2nd Respondent to withdraw the Look Out Circular issued against the Petitioner in connection with Crime No.222 of 2023 registered before the Inspector of Police, Thazhambur Police Station.
2. Mr.K.M.D.Muhilan, Learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) for the respondents 2 and 3 submits that the F.I.R was registered against the petitioner in Crime No.222 of 2023 for the offences punishable under Section 376 & 506(1) of I.P.C. Therefore, after registration of F.I.R, the petitioner absconded for investigation and as a result, a look out circular was issued against the petitioner. Now, the investigation is pending and about to file a final report. Therefore, while the investigation is pending in Crime No.222 of 2023, the look out circular issued as against the petitioner cannot be withdrawn and the petition is liable to be dismissed.

3. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is dismissed. The 2nd respondent/Inspector of Police, Thazhambur Police Station, Thazhambur Chennai is directed to complete the investigation and file final report within a period of eight weeks, from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
