Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus calling for the records of the first respondent pertaining to G.O.(Ms) No.270 dated 11.06.2004 and quash the same and consequently direct the respondents to restore the status of Peravurani Selection Grade Town Panchayat of which the petitioner is the President instead of downgrading it as a Village Panchayat.
