Prayer:- Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to disburse the petitioner's difference amount of Salary, Gratuity, Surrender Leave, Provident Fund, Pensions Arrears and to revise Pension as per 15th wage Settlement dated 31/05/2025 along with 6 percent interest. 1/5

O R D E R

This Writ petition has been filed with a prayer for issuing a Mandamus, to direct the respondents to pay the difference amount of Salary, Gratuity, Surrender Leave, Provident Fund, Pensions Arrears and to revise Pension based on wage settlement dated 31.05.2025 with 6% interest to the petitioner.

2. Ms.S.Pavithra, and Mr.C.S.K.Sathish learned Standing counsel take notice for the Respondents 1 and 2 respectively.

3. By consent, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

4. The case of the petitioner is that he was appointed as Conductor in the respondent Corporation on 14.09.1998 and he retired from service on 29.02.2024 as Special Grade Conductor. It is the grievance of the 2/5

petitioner that his representation dated 10.09.2025 submitted to the respondents seeking payment of the difference in Salary, Gratuity, Surrender Leave Salary, Provident Fund, Pension Arrears and revision of Pension based on the wage settlement dated 31.05.2025 with interest at 6% per annum has not been considered till date. Hence, this present writ petition has been filed.

5. The learned Standing Counsel for the respondents would fairly admit that in view of the similar orders passed by this Court in W.P.Nos.40031, 33742 and 35806 of 2024, they are willing to pay the interest at the rate of 6% per annum for the belated payment on the eligible and admissible amount.

In view of the above submission of the learned Standing Counsel, this Court deems it appropriate to direct the respondents to pay the eligible and admissible amount with interest at the rate of 6% per annum for the belated payment of terminal benefits, from the date of retirement till the date of actual disbursal of the terminal benefits of the petitioner, within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 3/5

7. With the above directions, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
