ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by J.NISHA BANU, J.) The present Writ Petition has been filed for the issuance of a Writ of Certiorari calling for the entire records of the impugned order dated 11.10.2024 passed in C.P.No.83 of 2024 in O.A.No.1939 of 2014 by the Honble Central Administrative Tribunal, Chennai Bench.

2. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Additional Solicitor General appearing for the petitioners submitted that the 1 st respondent is entitled to the pension under the Old Pension Scheme and therefore, whatever amount paid under the New Pension Scheme will be adjusted and the balance amount will be paid as per the Communication of the Senior Accounts Officer, NPS Section, Office of the General Manager (Postal Accounts and Finance), Department of Posts, Tamil Nadu Circle, Chennai, in No.1795/NPS to GPF - N.Selvaraju/2025-26, dated 30.09.2025.

3. In view of the above submission, the petitioner-Department Officials are directed to adjust the amount already paid under New Pension Scheme and pay the balance amount to the 1 st respondent as per the Old Pension Scheme as per the submission made by the learned ASG which has been recorded by this court by order dated 15.11.2023, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. This writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
