ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed by the petitioners seeking for a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioners dated 04.09.2025 in the light of the orders passed in W.P.No.6037 of 2024 dated 07.03.2024 regarding allotment of houses to the petitioners, who have been originally residing at 2nd Respondent's Pulianthope Housing Board sites, migrated from Pulianthope to Vyasarpadi under the assurance of providing alternative residential houses, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.
2. Mr.D.Veerasekaran, learned counsel, accepts notice on behalf of the 1st respondent and Mr.G.Sivakumar, learned counsel, accepts notice on behalf of the 2nd respondent. In view of the consent expressed by the parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission itself.
3. The case of the petitioners is that they are slum dwellers and daily labourers. Originally, they resided at Pulianthope for many years together in the Page No.3 of 7
land belongs to the 2nd respondent and the 2nd respondent when decided to construct housing flats in the said area occupied by the petitioners, vacatted all the petitioners under the assurance of giving re-allotment in the same pulianthope after construction of the flats. For providing alternative site/residential flats, the petitioners have given a representation to the respondents dated 04.09.2025. Since the same was not considered, the petitioners have filed this writ petition before this Court for appropriate orders.

Though very many grounds have been raised in this writ petition, learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submits that, it would suffice, if this Court issues a direction to the 2nd respondent to consider the representation of the petitioners, dated 04.09.2025 and pass appropriate orders, within a time frame that may be fixed by this Court.
5. The learned counsel appearing for the 2nd respondent submitted that out of the 50 petitioners herein, 34 petitioners were allotted tenament. Hence, on instructions, he submitted that appropriate orders will be passed in respect of the remaining persons, by considering their representation, as expeditiously as possible.
6. In view of the above, this Court, without expressing any opinion on Page No.4 of 7
the merits of the case, directs the 2nd respondent to consider the representation of the petitioners dated 04.09.2025 and pass appropriate orders, within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording an opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioners and aggrieved persons, if any.
