The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 4(1)(A) and 4(1)(C) in Crime No.361 of 2025, on the file of the respondent Police, seeks anticipatory bail.

The allegation against the petitioner is that 23.09.2025 at about 3.00 pm., when the respondent police were on routine rounds near Sekkumedu Village, the petitioner and two others were sitting at the bus stand with a white coloured plastic bag, on interrogation revealed that they were in possession of 40 bottles of "Vorion XXX Rum" (180 ml each); 20 bottles of "Express Brandy" (180 ml each) and 10 bottles of "Golden Brandy" (180 ml each) a total of 70 bottles. Hence, the respondent police recovered the same. Hence the case.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is in innocent person and she has been falsely implicated in this case based on confession of A1 and she has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution. He would further submit that the petitioner is being a lady and is ready to abide any condition imposed by this Court. Therefore, he prays for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner. 4.The learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) appearing for the respondent police, reiterated the prosecution case and submits that the petitioner is having 7 previous cases and therefore, the learned Government Advocate opposed for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner. 2/8

5.Taking note of the fact that the gravity of offence committed by the petitioner and the petitioner is having 7 previous cases, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. 6.Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. 22.10.2025 MSM To 1.The Inspector of Police Vaniyambadi Taluk Police Station Tirupattur District Crime No. 361 of 2025.
