ORDER

This Suo Motu Case is dealt with in an extraordinary manner by the Dedicated Bench, pursuant to Suo Motu W.P.(Crl.) No.618 of 2025.

2. This case is registered for the alleged offence under Sections2(e)(iv)(v)(vi) of Motor Sprit and High Speed Diesel (Prevention of Malpractive in Supply & Distribution) Order 1990 r/w 7(i) a(ii) of EC Act, 1955. In this case the allegation is that the accused were found to be transporting 12 litres of diesel in violation of the Act. It is stated that A1 had died. Warrant is pending against A2 and A8. A3, A4 to A7 are present. It can be seen that the occurrence happened in the year 2011. Any further continuation of the case will impinge upon the right to speedy trial. 3. Accordingly, the case in C.C.No. 800142 of 2017 of Judicial Magistrate Court No. I, Villupuram Taluk, Villupuram, stands quashed. This Suo Motu Transfer Case is disposed of.

10.10.2025 rap electronically alone. The Trial Court shall take note of the order and accordingly classify the case pending before them as allowed / dismissed / disposed of, etc, and while doing so, consider any applications such as disposal of properties, etc., and pass appropriate orders, as may be necessary. Further, the Court below is directed to dispatch the copy of this order to all concerned.
