O R D E R

When the matter is taken up for hearing today, I have gone through the averments made in the FIR, there is a prima facie case that the petitioner herein has abused the defacto complainant by referring his caste name in a public place, which attracts offences under Sections 3(1)(r) and 3(1)(s) of SC/ ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act. I am not inclined to consider this anticipatory bail application of the petitioner on the ground that the same is barred under Section 18A of the SC/ST Act.

2. Accordingly, this criminal original petition stands dismissed. 16.10.2025 stn To

1. The Deputy Superintendent of Police, Office of Deputy Superintendent of Police, Kallakurichi District.

2. The Inspector of Police, Thirunvalur Police Station, Kallakurichi.

Crime No.552 of 2025.

3. The Public Prosecutor, High Court of Madras.
