ORDER
The petitioner apprehends arrest for the alleged offence under Sections 6(4) of TNSC (RDCS) order 1982 r/w. Section 7(1)(a)(ii) of EC Act, 1955 in Crime No.335 of 2025, on the file of the respondent police seeks anticipatory bail.
2. The allegation against the petitioner is that while he was transporting 2,100 kgs of PDS rice meant for public distribution system, intercepted by the police party and on stopping the car, he ran away from there. Hence the case.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has been falsely implicated in this case and there is no previous case against him. Therefore, he prays to grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police, reported that the petitioner is having 3 previous cases similar in nature and the property has been recovered. Hence, he opposed to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
5. Considering the manner of the occurrence taken place and that there are 3 previous cases registered as against the petitioner which are of similar in nature, I am not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
