ORDER
This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondent to consider the application submitted by the petitioner on 23.07.2025 wherein the petitioner has sought for 1/4
measurement and sub-division of the property and fix the boundary at S.No.172/3A, 172/3B, at Poondi Village, Chinnasalem Taluk,
2. Heard Mr.V.Gunasekar, learned counsel for petitioner and Mr.P.Ganesan, learned Government Advocate appearing for respondent.

The case of the petitioner is that the property was originally owned by one Ayyammal and she executed a Will dated 28.11.2022 in favour of the petitioner's husband, which was registered as document No.112 of 2022. Patta also stood in the name of the said Ayyammal. The petitioner's husband executed a settlement deed in favour of the petitioner on 20.09.2023, which was registered as document No.5743 of 2023. The petitioner wanted the property to be sub-divided and for fixing of boundaries and the petitioner submitted an application before the respondent on 23.07.2025 by paying necessary charges. Since there was no progress, the present writ petition has been filed.
4. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the 2/4
case and the materials placed before this Court, there shall be a direction to the respondent to act upon the petitioner's application dated 23.07.2025 and to conduct survey in the subject property based on the title documents and complete this process within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this Court. If there are any other interested parties, such survey shall be conducted in their presence. This writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
