ORDER
This petition is filed praying for issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus to call for the records on the file of the second respondent, vide his proceedings in Na.Ka.No.02/Kaa.Ni/Vennandur/2024, dated 23.12.2024 and quash the same and subsequently, direct the second respondent to grant permission to the petitioner for conducting rally/festival in a peaceful manner in Vennandur Town Panchayat, Namakkal District.
2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents pointed out that, though it has been stated as "Street" being the spot of the rally/festival, in the impugned order dated 23.12.2024, the reason has been assigned for mentioning the place as "Street". However, on a reading of either the representations dated 20.01.2021 or 11.12.2024 or even on perusal of the affidavit filed in support of the Writ Petition, it is clear that the petitioner has not mentioned the date on which they are actually going to conduct the festival.
3. Though the petitioner has given proper reasons to conduct the rally/festival, subsequently, the petitioner has not stated any further date on Page No.2/4
which the festival/rally is going to be conducted.
4. Therefore, this Court finds that there is no reason to set aside the impugned order. Accordingly, this petition is dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs.
