ORDER

This petition has been filed to direct the respondent police to comply with the order dated 15.05.2025, passed in Crl.M.P.No.3529 of 2025, on the file of the learned Metropolitan Magistrate for exclusive Trial of CCB Cases and CBCID Metro Cases, Egmore and register an FIR as against the accused and investigate the case in accordance with law.

2.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner had filed a complaint under Section 156 (3) Cr.P.C. before the learned Metropolitan Magistrate for exclusive Trial of CCB Cases and CBCID Metro Cases, Egmore against certain persons. The learned Metropolitan Magistrate, after hearing the petitioner, had directed the respondent police to enquire the matter and if any prima facie case is made out and cognizable offence exists, register an FIR or file necessary report, but, till now the above said order has not been complied with. Hence, the petitioner has filed the present petition.

3. Per contra, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) for the respondents would submit that based on the directions given by the learned Metropolitan Magistrate under Section 156(3), an enquiry was conducted by Ms.S.P.Murugeswari, Inspector of Police, Land Fraud Investigation Wing -II, Gama-6, Central Crime Branch-III, Vepery, Chennai-600 007 and finding that no case was made out against the accused, a final report has been filed, before the learned Magistrate concerned on 30.09.2025 stating "further action dropped" and it will be taken on file.

4.In view of the compliance of the order passed by the learned Metropolitan Magistrate for exclusive Trial of CCB Cases and CBCID Metro Cases, Egmore, no order is required in the present petition. Accordingly, this criminal original petition stands closed. Needless to say that if the petitioner is aggrieved, he can challenge the final report in the manner known to law, if he is so advised.
