The petitioner seeks for release of the award amount with respect to the land acquisition proceedings over his property. The amount is proposed to be deposited in the Court on account of the fact that the land owner did not appear for the award enquiry. Pursuant thereto, the petitioner has made a representation on 30.11.2024. As the said representation has not been considered, the petitioner has come forward with the writ petition.

2. I heard Mr.K.Balasubramaniam and Mr.M.Haleeb Rahman, learned counsel for the respective parties.

3. Mr.M.Haleeb Rahman, learned counsel for respondent submits that the amount is proposed to be deposited in the Court as the petitioner did not appear during the award enquiry.

4. Be that as it may, as on today the petitioner is willing to receive the award amount and he has also made a representation in this regard. 2/4

In the view of the above, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent to consider the representation dated 30.11.2024 within a period of four weeks after hearing the petitioner and intimate the result to him.
