O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to provide police protection while fixing the boundary and fencing the petitioner's property comprised in S.F.No.28/3F5 at Lakkur village, Thittakudi Taluk, Cuddalore District by considering the petitioner's representations dated 31.07.2024 and 18.12.2024.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent Police and perused the materials available on record.

3. On a perusal of the complaint/representations made by the petitioner before the respondent police and the affidavit filed in support of the petition, it is seen that the dispute between the parties is civil in nature. The Writ Court cannot conduct a roving enquiry and find out the

correctness of the right and interest over the property. This Court is not inclined to grant the relief as sought for by the petitioner in this writ petition.

4. In view of the same, this Writ Petition is dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. The petitioner is at liberty to workout his remedy in the manner known to law.
