Prayer:- Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the records pertaining to the resolution of the Syndicate of Periyar University held on 07.06.2003 insofar as denial of continuance of affiliation for M.Sc.(Bio Technology) and the consequential proceedings of the second respondent in his proceedings PU/R/22200/B3/2002 dated 16/17.06.2003 and quash the same and direct the respondents to grant continuation of affiliation for M.Sc. (Bio Technology) for the year 2003-2004 to the petitioner college.

The prayer sought for in the writ petition is for a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the records pertaining to the resolution of the Syndicate of Periyar University held on 07.06.2003 insofar as denial of continuance of affiliation for M.Sc.(Bio Technology) and the consequential proceedings of the second respondent in his proceedings PU/R/22200/B3/2002 dated 16/17.06.2003 and quash the same and direct the respondents to grant continuation of affiliation for M.Sc. (Bio Technology) for the year 2003-2004 to the petitioner college.

2. I have heard Mr.C.Vediappan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.P.Godson Swaminath, learned counsel appearing for the respondents-University.

3. The prayer sought for in the writ petition is pertaining to the affiliation to be granted to the petitioner's college for the academic year 2003-04. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the college is functioning continuously, which means that subsequently the affiliation issue would have been resolved between the petitioner and the respondents University.

4. Since the prayer sought for in this writ petition is related to the Academic year 2003-04, the same cannot be considered at this stage after the lapse of 14 years. Hence, this Court feels that no further adjudication is required on the issue raised in this writ petition.

5. In view of the above, this writ petition is dismissed. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed.
