O R D E R

This Writ Petition (Criminal) has been filed to direct the official respondents to act upon the writ petitioner's representation dated 29.09.2025 and to provide necessary police protection by the 3rd and 4th respondents for construction of the 84 meter (perimeter) compound wall around the burial ground of the Muslims which is in existence for more than a century, as per proceedings of the 2nd respondent comprised in Na.Ka.En.A3/923/2025 dated 21.08.2025, within a time to be stipulated by this Court.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that under the Government Scheme of 'Namakku Naame Scheme', he 2nd respondent/Block Development Officer, issued a work order to one Sri Durgai Amman Constructions, Deva Pandalam vide proceedings No.Na.Ka.En.A3/923/2025 dated 21.08.2025 for the construction of the 84 meter (perimeter) compound wall around the burial ground of the Muslims, which is in existence for more than a century. However, when the work was started, the private respondents herein, objecting the same. Hence, the present petition is filed. 2/5

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents 1 to 4, is not objecting the allotment of said work by the Block Development Officer.

4. Therefore, if there is any law and order issue with regard to the construction of the compound wall as allotted by the Block Development Officer, on proper complaint either by the Contractor or by the Block Development Officer, let the respondents police provide necessary protection.
