Writ petition No.18738 of 2004 filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents herein to admit the petitioner for 1st year MBBS course for the academic year 2004-2005 under the open category by following the 50% rule of reservation as per the order of the Hon'ble Supreme Court to enable the petitioner to get admitted to a respective Government College in the order of merit as available to the petitioner. Writ petition No.18739 of 2004 filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents herein to admit the petitioner for 1st year MBBS course for the academic year 2004-2005 under the open category by following the 50% rule of reservation as per the order of the Hon'ble Supreme Court to enable the

petitioner to get admitted to a respective Government college or free seat in private college as the case may be in the order of merit as available to the petitioner. O R D E R

In both these writ petitions, the respective petitioners seek for a mandamus directing the respondents to admit the petitioners in the first year of MBBS course for the academic year 2004-2005.

2. This Court, by way of an interim order dated 01.07.2004, directed the second respondent to call the petitioner for counselling and for giving allotment to a college to be decided by the second respondent.

3. Today, the writ petitions are posted for final disposal.

4. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that in pursuant to the above order passed by this Court, the petitioners have joined the MBBS course and also completed the same and obtained the degree as well and therefore, nothing survives in this writ petition to be adjudicated upon further.

5. Accordingly, both these writ petitions are disposed of, as the relief sought for in these writ petitions has been granted already to the petitioners and the same is also worked out. No costs. Consequently connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
