Respondent(s) PRAYER:- The Habeas Corpus Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for the issuance of a Writ of Habeas Corpus directing the 3 rd respondent to produce the petitioner daughter namely Niveditha S/o. P. Babu, aged about 17 years before this court from the illegal custody of the 4 th respondent and hand over to the petitioner.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by J.NISHA BANU, J.) The present Habeas Corpus Petition is filed to direct the 3 rd respondent to produce the petitioner's daughter namely, Niveditha S/o. P. Babu, aged about 17 years before this court from the illegal custody of the 4 th respondent and hand over to the petitioner.

2. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that at the time of her missing, the detenue was 17 years old. She has now attained majority and has married the 4 th respondent namely, Vijay.

3. The detenue / Niveditha is produced before this Court today. We have interacted with the detenue and she has stated that she is not willing to go with her parents.

4. We are of the considered view that there is no unlawful custody involved in the present case. Accordingly, this Habeas Corpus Petition is closed. (J.NISHA BANU J.) (S.SOUNTHAR J.) 11-09-2025 ASI To 1.The Superintendent Of Police Ranipet District.
