ORDER

The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offence punishable under Sections 318 (4) of the Bharatiya Nyaya

Sanhita, 2023, in Crime No.Not Known of 2024, seeks anticipatory bail. 2.Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent Police submitted that the petition enquiry is pending in current paper stage vide Current Paper No.1063 of 2024; that no case has been registered against the petitioner; that only based on the complaint given by the defacto complainant, they made enquiry; that they will complete the enquiry as early as possible in accordance with the law.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner may be kidnapped whenever he visits Chennai.

4. In view of the same, the petitioner is directed to co-operate with the respondent Police for further enquiry. However, the respondent Police can require the petitioner to appear and co-operate with the enquiry only on summons. The respondent Police is further directed to look into the plight of the petitioner seriously and take a final decision.

5. Accordingly, this criminal original petition is closed.
