O R D E R

The petitioners herein apprehend arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 85 read with Section 406 of BNS, 2023 in Crime No.not Known of 2025, on the file of the respondent Police, seek anticipatory bail.

2. The allegation against the petitioner is that the defacto complainant married the 1st petitioner herein and they were lived together for some perido and thereafter, 3rd petitioner used to harassed her an started beating her by joining hands with the 2nd petitioner, who is the father-in-law of the defacto complainant. Further, it is alleged in the FIR that, her husband also involved in the similar activities of attacking her, unable to bare the same, defacto complainant attempted to commit suicide by consuming two sleeping tablets and also by consuming penoil. Hence, the complaint.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submitted that,false complaint has been lodged with a malafide intention of collecting money from the petitioners herein and she had also demanded Rs.25 lakhs for settling the issue. Hence, he prayed for grant of anticipatory bail to the 2/4

petitioners.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police reiterated the prosecution case and submitted that investigation is pending.

5. Heard the learned counsels on either side and perused the materials available on record.

6. Considering the gravity of the offence committed by the petitioners, and defacto complainant was harassed and forced to attempt for suicide, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioners.

7. Accordingly, this Criminal Original petition is dismissed. 13.10.2025 sma K.RAJASEKAR, J.
