Prayer:- Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st and 2nd respondent to survey the land in S.No.683/PT, Ward C, Block 41, Town Survey No.28 of Kovilpadagi village, Avadi Taluk, Tiruvallur District by considering the petitioner's representation dated 22.08.2025. This Writ Petition has been filed for a direction directing the 1st and 2nd respondents to survey the land in S.No.683/PT, Ward C, Block 41, Town Survey No.28 of Kovilpadagi village, Avadi Taluk, Tiruvallur District by considering the petitioners' representation dated 22.08.2025.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials available on record.

3. The case of the petitioners is that they are the owners of the land comprised in S.No.683/PT, Ward C, Block 41, Town Survey No.28 of Kovilpadagi village, Avadi Taluk, Tiruvallur District. In order to survey the said land, they submitted an application before the respondents. However, the respondents did not take any steps to survey the aforesaid lands so far.

In view of the above, the 1st respondent is directed to survey the petitioners' aforesaid land based on the title deed produced by the petitioners, after issuance of notice to the adjacent land owners and counter parties, if any, and to serve the survey report to the petitioners within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is made clear that, if the surveyor concerned is obstructed by third parties while surveying the subject land, the said surveyor can approach the 2/4

jurisdictional police seeking police aid and on such request, the jurisdictional police shall provide adequate police protection to the surveyor.

5. With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
