ORDER
1/4
This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondent to deal with the representation made by the petitioner on 19.10.2023 wherein the petitioner is seeking for transfer of patta in his name with respect to the subject property.
2. Heard Mr.G.Ilangovan, learned counsel for petitioner and Mr.D.Ravichander, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for respondent.
3. The petitioner is claiming right and title over the subject property by virtue of a sale deed dated 26.06.1998. The petitioner had earlier approached this Court for a direction to the respondent to deal with the representation made by the petitioner seeking issuance of patta. This writ petition was disposed of by order dated 25.09.2014 by directing the Tahsildar to deal with the representation. The Tahsildar, by communication dated 07.01.2015, informed the petitioner that his representation was rejected since the petitioner has not provided any particulars regarding the property or particulars with respect to the person in whose name the patta earlier stood.
4. Pursuant to the above, the petitioner collected all the 2/4
particulars and made a representation on 19.10.2023 to the respondent. Since the same was not considered, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court.
5. In the considered view of this Court, the petitioner has to submit an online application before the respondent by providing all the necessary particulars. As and when any such application is submitted by the petitioner to the respondent, the respondent shall deal with the application on its own merits and in accordance with law and take a decision within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of the online application from the petitioner and convey the decision to the petitioner.
This writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
