ORDER
This Contempt Petition has been filed to punish the respondents for the contempt of order of this Court made in W.P.No.25298 of 2024, dated 5.2.2025. 2.Pursuant to the order passed on 12.12.2025, the report has been filed by the Commissioner of Tambaram City Municipal Corporation. The relevant portions are extracted hereunder:
8. After receiving the order of this Honourable Court dated, 08-04-2025 regarding the provision of the pathway to the lands of the petitioner in S. No 1975/1, the exercise of identifying thee lands for the pathway was taken up and towards this the further report of the Surveyor was called for regarding the demarcation of the pathway. Thereafter the Revenue department was requested to issue the notification for declaring the said piece of land as a pathway. The process of issuing the Gazette notification in the District Gazette was completed and the notification was issued on 25-11-2025. By this the pathway that has been given for the use of the petitioner has been declared as a Public pathway. 9.On 01-12-2025, the request has been given to the Revenue department to change the classification of the part of the lands in S. No 1975/2 that stands in the name of this respondent as a Public Pathway.
10 The work of dismantling the old structure in S. No 1975/1 has been completed on 11-12-2025. Shifting of the pipelines from the lands of the petitioner in S. No 1975/1 has also been completed and at present the laying of the pipelines in the land of this Respondent in S. No 1975/2 is underway.
3.It is clear from the above that what remains is the removal of the generator room and also to effect necessary changes in the entries made in the revenue records. This process shall be complied within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of copy of the order.
4.Accordingly, this contempt is closed.
