ORDER

The petitioner, who apprehends arrest for the alleged offence under Sections 4(1)(A) of TNP Act 2024, in Crime No.597 of 2025, on the file of the respondent police seeks anticipatory bail. 1/4

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner was found to be in illegal possession of 114 litres of I.D Arrack. Hence, the present complaint.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has not committed any such offence as alleged by the prosecution and she has been falsely implicated in this case. Hence, he prayed to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent police reiterated the prosecution case and reported that there are 26 previous cases pending against the petitioner. Hence, he opposed to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

5. Considering the nature of the allegations made against the petitioner, and taking into account the fact that 26 previous cases of a similar nature are pending against the petitioner, the Court finds that custodial interrogation is necessary in this case. Accordingly, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

6. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. 15.10.2025 uma 2/4
