The application has been filed seeking extension of the Succession Certificate dated 21.11.2023 to include the five securities mentioned in the Schedule to the Judges' Summons.

According to the learned counsel for the applicant, the applicant/petitioner had filed the original petition for grant of a Succession Certificate in respect of the assets of the deceased, Mr. R. Prasanna. Since the applicant is only legal heir of the deceased, this Court, by order dated 21.11.2023 granted a Succession Certificate in her favour. Subsequently, the applicant/petitioner came to know of five more mutual funds standing in the name of the deceased. Hence, the present application has been filed under Section 376 of the Indian Succession Act, seeking extension of the existing Succession Certificate.

There is no respondents in this application.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, and in view of the letter produced by the applicant from the ICICI Securities Limited, Prestige Point, III Floor, Old No.16, New No.47, Haddows Road, Nungambakkam, Chennai - 6, wherein the five mutual funds standing in the name of the deceased / Mr. R. Prasanna have been detailed, this Court finds it appropriate to extend the Succession Certificate already issued in favour of the applicant/petitioner by including the above said five mutual funds. In view of the above, this application deserves to be allowed. 5.

Accordingly, this application is allowed as prayed for. The Succession Certificate dated 21.11.2023 is extended to the five securities mentioned in the Schedule to the Judges' Summons. Page No.3 of 5
