ORDER

This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the 1st respondent to pass appropriate orders in pursuant to the letter issued by the 2nd respondent vide letter No 3400/ E1/ 2024 dated 19.08.2025

2. It is the case of the petitioner that the petitioners have made a complaint to the second respondent against the administrative committee of the rd respondent society alleging several misappropriation of funds and unlawful activities, for which, after conducting enquiry, the second respondent has recommended in his enquiry report to the first respondent to take appropriate action to enable the income tax department to take appropriate action against the above mentioned illegal activities and misappropriation of funds committed by the administrative committee members of the 3 rd respondent society. However, the first respondent has not taken any action till date. Hence, the present writ petition.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that this Court may direct the first respondent to conclude the proceedings as against the 3 rd respondent on the basis of the recommendation made by the second respondent

within the reasonable time as fixed by this Court.

4. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents submitted that the proceedings will be concluded against the third respondent and appropriate orders will be passed within the stipulated time as fixed by this Court.

5. Heard the learned counsel for both side and perused the materials available on record. Since no adverse order is passed against the third respondent, notice to the third respondent is dispensed with.

6. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and in view of the limited request sought for by the petitioner, this court directs the first respondent to conclude the proceedings after given opportunity to the petitioner as well as the third respondent within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
