Prayer:- Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the notional promotion to the petitioners as Forest Guard on par with juniors by including their name in the panel drawn for the year 20032004 with effect from 31.05.2004 for purpose of getting enhanced pension (Petitioners service were regularized on par with juniors only now) and in the light of order passed by our Hon'ble High Court in W.P. No.15726 of 2016 dated 28.04.2016 by considering the representation dated 21.08.2025 and order in W.P. No.1229 of 2024 with dated 23.01.2024 in time limit to be stipulated by this Hon'ble Court.

This Writ Petition is filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the notional promotion to the petitioners as Forest Guard on a par with juniors by including their name in the panel drawn for the year 2003-2004 with effect from 31.05.2004 for the purpose of getting enhanced pension (petitioners service were regularized on par with juniors only now) and in the light of order passed by this High Court in W.P. No.15726 of 2016 dated 28.04.2016 by considering the representation dated 21.08.2025 and order in W.P. No.1229 of 2024 dated 23.01.2024 within a time limit to be stipulated by this Court.

2. The case of the petitioners is that some similarly placed persons were granted notional promotion pursuant to the orders passed by this Court. According to the petitioners, they are also similarly placed, and therefore, they submitted a representation dated 21.08.2025 to the respondents seeking similar relief. Since the said representation has not been considered till date, the petitioners have filed the present Writ Petition.

3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents and perused the records.

Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the limited prayer sought by the petitioners, the 1st respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioners dated 21.08.2025 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of 8 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is made clear that this Court has not made any observation with regard to the merits or claims of the petitioners.
