The present Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondents not to harass the petitioner.

2. When the matter was taken up for hearing today, the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent Police submitted that there are about 134 complaints pending against the petitioner. The allegation is that the petitioner has advertised in YouTube for selling of Machinery and thereby she is said to have cheated several persons. Originally the complaint was given before the Tiruppur North Police Station and now it has been transferred to the second respondent and the files are yet to be transferred. He would further submit that as and when the files are transferred, appropriate summons will be issued to the petitioner for enquiry. He would further submit that the respondent Police are not harassing the petitioner.

3. Such being the position, it is for the Investigating Agency to issue appropriate notice to the petitioners under Section 35(3) of BNSS for enquiry and on receipt of such notice, the petitioners shall appear for enquiry and co-operate in the investigation. It is made clear that the petitioner shall not be harassed during the course of enquiry. If any cognizable offence is made out, the respondent Police shall register a First Information Report and proceed in accordance with law. 4.

Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of with the aforesaid direction.
