O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the 2nd respondent to consider the application submitted by the petitioner on 12.09.2025 and pass appropriate orders on the same.

2. Mr.A.M.Ayyadurai, learned Government Advocate takes notice on behalf of the respondents.

3. It is the case of the petitioner that he had submitted a representation for issuance of license for manufacturing crackers on 12.09.2025 before the 2nd respondent. However, the same has not been considered so far. Hence, the petitioner has come up with the present Writ Petition.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that it would suffice if this Court issues a direction to the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner's application for issuance of license for manufacturing crackers and pass orders on the same within the time that may be stipulated by this Court.

5. On the above contention, this Court heard the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents.

6. In view of the limited relief sought for in this Writ Petition, this Court without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case directs the 2/7

petitioner to make a fresh application in the form prescribed under the Explosives Act, 1884 before the 2nd respondent within a period of two (2) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and on receipt of the same, the 2nd respondent is directed to consider and pass appropriate orders on the same in accordance with law within a period of twelve (12) thereafter.

7. This Writ Petition stands disposed of with the aforesaid direction. There shall be no order as to costs.

This matter has been listed under the caption "For being mentioned" at the instance of Registry.

2. When the matter is taken up for hearing, it is brought to the notice of this Court that, in para 6 of the order dated 29.10.2025, a direction was issued by this Court to the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner's application under to be made under Explosives Act, 1884 within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of the copy of the order, wherein, the word 'weeks' has been inadvertently omitted to be typed and therefore, it is prayed that necessary corrections may be made in the said order which was fairly conceded by the learned counsel appearing on either side.

3. In view of the above, para 6 of the order dated 29.10.2025 shall stand modified as under:- " 6. In view of the limited relief sought for in this Writ Petition, this Court without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case directs the petitioner to make a fresh application in the form prescribed under the Explosives Act, 1884 before the 2nd respondent within a period of two (2) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and on receipt of the same, the 2nd respondent is directed to consider and pass appropriate orders on the same in accordance with law within a period of twelve (12) weeks thereafter "
