O R D E R

The present Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent police not to harass the petitioner and his family members.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing on behalf of the respondents.

3. When the matter came up for hearing today, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side), on instructions, submitted that based on the complaint of the wife of the petitioner, CSR No.775 of 2025 has been assigned and is pending. He further submitted that since the matter pertains to matrimonial dispute, the same has been referred to the Social Welfare Officer for enquiry and the petitioner may be directed to appear before the Social Welfare Officer for the enquiry.

4. A perusal of the case papers reveals that the matter pertains to matrimonial dispute and that the case was referred to the Social Welfare Officer for enquiry. In this backdrop, the petitioner is directed to appear before the Social Welfare Officer for enquiry and the respondent police is also directed not to harass the petitioner as well as his family members under the guise of enquiry.

5. With the above observations and direction, this Criminal Original Petition stands closed.
