Respondents Prayer : Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, call for records in connection with the impugned order of 3rd respondent in connection with Na.Ka.No. 538/2023/E2 dated 19.07.2024 and quash the same and consequently appoint the petitioner for the post of Panchayat Secretary with all benefits as per selection list issued by the 1/6
respondents 1 to 4 in Pandamaseemanur Village Panchayat, Barugur Taluk, Krishnagiri District with all back wages.

ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed challenging the order passed by the third respondent dated 19.07.2024, thereby rejecting the candidature of the petitioner for the post of Panchayat Secretary, Mandamaseemanur Village Panchayat, Barugur Taluk, Krishnagiri District.
2. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials available on record.
3. The petitioner is qualified with Higher Secondary Education. While being so, the third respondent issued a notification dated 09.11.2019, thereby calling upon the applications from the eligible candidates for the post of Village Panchayat Secretary in Pandamaseemanur Village Panchayat. The petitioner 2/6
applied for the said post and also submitted all the required documents. The petitioner's name was also recommended by the Employment Exchange, Krishnagiri. The petitioner appeared for the interview with all original certificates on 26.09.2020. Thereafter, the petitioner appeared before the Selection Committee on 09.10.2020 and produced all the requisite documents. However, no appointment order was issued to the petitioner. Hence, the petitioner submitted a representation and the same was not considered. Aggrieved over the same, the petitioner was constrained to file a writ petition before this Court in W.P.No.4120 of 2023. When the said writ petition came up for hearing, the respondents submitted that the candidature of the petitioner was rejected. Therefore, the petitioner was given liberty to challenge the said order.

On instructions, the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents 3 and 4 submitted that the petitioner was not coming under the zone of consideration and as such, no one was appointed for the post of Village Panchayat Secretary in Pandamaseemanur Village Panchayat, Bargur Taluk, Krishnagiri District. It is further submitted that a fresh notification has been issued on 09.10.2025 inviting applications from eligible candidates for the post of Village 3/6
Secretary in Pandamaseemanur Village Panchayat, Bargur Taluk, Krishnagiri District.
5. In view of the above, this Court finds no infirmity or illegality in the order dated 19.07.2024 passed by the third respondent. Thus, the writ petition lacks merits and is liable to be dismissed.
