ORDER

This Suo Motu Case is dealt with in an extraordinary manner by the Dedicated Bench, pursuant to Suo Motu W.P.(Crl.) No.618 of 2025. 2.The case, Cr.No.54 of 2022 was registered for the alleged offences under Sections 147, 294 (b), 353 and 309 I.P.C. The occurrence is of the year 2022. The allegation in this case is that in view of the civil dispute relating to survey of the land, the accused tried to pour kerosene on himself and tried to self-immolate and the allegation against the other accused is that they are all prevented the Government servants from doing their duty. It is reported that the accused have been attending the Court regularly. There is no previous or subsequent previous case against the accused. 3.Considering the nature of the allegation, the antecedents of the accused and since the accused have been facing the case since 2022, any further continuation of the trial would impinge upon his right to a speedy trial Page No.1 of 2 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis

4. Accordingly, the case in C.C.No.172 of 2022 of District Munsif cum Judicial Magistrate Court, Pennagaram Taluk, Dharmapuri, stands quashed. This Suo Motu Transfer Case is disposed of.
