ORDER

This Suo Motu Case is dealt with in an extraordinary manner by the Dedicated Bench, pursuant to Suo Motu W.P.(Crl.) No.618 of 2025.

2. This case is registered for alleged offences under Sections 147, 148, 149, 341, 342, 447, 364-A, 323, 368, 386, 109, 120(b) of the Indian Penal Code and Section 5 of Explosive Substances Act, 1908 and Section 25(1-A) of the Arms Act. The incident occurred on 06.06.2000. This is a case, in which, totally 20 accused are involved. When the de facto complainant was travelling in his Car, all the accused way laid him and threatened him with Gun and other dangerous weapons and looted the jewels and cash in the car. After abducting him, the persons also looted the jewels and the Car. For the said allegation, some of the accused went into trial in S.C.No.5 of 2010 and ended in acquittal. This case is pending in respect of the accused Nos.3 and

3. Accordingly, the case in P.R.C.No.600001 of 2014 of Judicial Magistrate Court No.1, Mayiladuthurai, Mayiladuthurai Taluk, Mayiladuthurai, stands quashed. This Suo Motu Transfer Case is disposed of. 16.10.2025 grs electronically alone. The Trial Court shall take note of the order and accordingly classify the case pending before them as allowed / dismissed / disposed of, etc, and while doing so, consider any applications such as disposal of properties, etc., and pass appropriate orders, as may be necessary. Further, the Court below is directed to dispatch the copy of this order to all concerned.
