This writ petition has been filed for direction directing the first and second respondents to pass orders declaring the transfer and posting of the third respondent in the post of Assistant Professor in Ophthalmology in Thanjavur Government Medical College as temporary posting and consequently notify the said post as vacant for the transfer counselling to be conducted in October 2025 or subsequently, in accordance with Clause 10.14 of G.O(2D).No.131, Health and Family Welfare (A1) Department dated 20.11.2007, in consideration of representation submitted by the petitioner dated 10.09.2025.

When this Writ Petition was taken up, the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents has produced the copy of the letter dated 23.10.2025 issued by the second respondent states that the third respondent will be shown as vacant in the upcoming general transfer counselling.
