Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to include the name of the petitioner in the appropriate place in the 'C' list of Head Constables fit for promotion as Sub Inspector of Police (Armed Reserve) notified in Rc.No.Estt V (1) 29/6937/02 C.No.989/02 dated 31.3.2003 on the file of the second respondent by appropriate revision of the said list and to consider and promote the petitioner as Sub-Inspector of Police (AR) in the existing vacancy with attendant service and monetary benefits in the facts and on the basis of the service records of the petitioner.
