O R D E R
This Writ Petition (Criminal) has been filed seeking a direction to the second respondent not to interfere in the civil dispute existing between the petitioner and the fourth respondent
2. When the matter was taken up for hearing today, the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for respondents 1 to 3 submitted that the fourth respondent has lodged a complaint stating that the petitioner had received the money and entered into a sale agreement, but subsequently, refused either to execute the sale deed or to return the amount received. When the same was demanded, the petitioner is alleged to have threatened him. Based on the said complaint, the respondent Police are conducting an enquiry in C.No.7598 of 2025, which is now pending. He further submitted that the enquiry would be conducted in accordance with law and that the respondent Police would not interfere in the civil dispute.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that in respect of the very same complaint, an enquiry was conducted by the third 2/5
respondent and the same was closed, holding that the dispute is civil in nature. However, now, the fourth respondent has again given a complaint before the second respondent. Hence, the present petition has been filed.
4. Heard both sides and perused the materials available on record.

In view of the above, this Court directs the second respondent to take into consideration the earlier report submitted by the third respondent as well as the orders of the Civil Court and to complete the enquiry as expeditiously as possible, preferably, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is needless to state that the second respondent shall not harass the petitioner under the guise of enquiry.
6. Accordingly, this Writ Petition (Criminal) stands disposed of with the above directions. No costs.
