ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for a direction, directing the respondent to pay the difference/arrears of wages for the period from 01.09.2013 to 28.02.2014 1/4

with applicable interest.

2. The petitioner was appointed as Conductor in the respondent Corporation. Thereafter, he was promoted to the post of Senior Checking Inspector and retired from service on 28.02.2014. While being so, there was a settlement under Section 12 (3) under the Industrial Dispute Act, 1947, with effect from 01.09.2013. Since the petitioner got retired from service as early as on 28.02.2014, he was not paid difference in salary as per the settlement.

3. In view of the above, the respondent is directed to disburse the difference/arrears of wages from 01.09.2013 to 28.02.2014 with interest at the rate of 6% per annum, within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above directions, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs. 03.11.2025 Speaking (or) Non Speaking Order mrn 2/4
