Respondents Prayer:- Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to provide electricity service connection to the petitioner's Plot No.48,Plot No.71A,Plot No.61c,Plot No.80,Plot No.61,Plot No.33 and Plot No.61B respectively Raja Mill Road, Madurai.

Mr.P.R.Dhilip Kumar COMMON ORDER In all these writ petitions, the petitioners have purchased individual plots from "Madurai Manager Mani Nagaram Senai Thalaivar Uravinmurai Sangam" and when they applied for electricity service connection, they were denied service connection on the ground that the land was earlier leased to the person who had failed to pay the electricity charges to https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

the Board.

2. It is seen that in the connected matters, this Court had granted interim orders in favour of the petitioners therein directing the Board to give connection. Presumably, the petitioners herein must have also obtained service connection in the mean time.

3. These writ petitions are of the year 2003. By this time, they have become infructuous. Accordingly, these writ petitions are closed and if it is found that the petitioners have not received service connection so far, it is open to them to make fresh application agitating the matter, in accordance with law. No costs.
