ORDER
The relief sought for in this writ petition is to direct the respondents 1 & 2 to consider the petitioner's representation dated 29.09.2025. 2.Mr.B.Vijay, learned counsel takes notice on behalf of the 1 st respondent. Mr.U.Baranidharan, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice on behalf of respondents 2 & 3. By consent of both the parties, this writ petition is taken up for final hearing at the admission stage itself.
3.The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner has been in continuous possession and cultivation of about 1.79 acres of agricultural land situated in Soolagiri Village, Soolagiri Taluk, Krishnagiri District for over a period of fifteen years under lease arrangement from Kalaimagal Sabha. The petitioner was regularly paying his lease payments, which was also accepted by the 1 st respondent. Under these circumstances, despite regular payment of lease rent and active cultivation, the 1 st respondent issued a public auction notice dated 18.05.2025, proposing to sell leasehold rights of the subject property through etender. The petitioner has also made a representation dated 29.09.2025 to the respondents 1 & 2, seeking protection of the petitioner's lawful tenancy and requesting appropriate action to prevent any alienation or auction of the subject property. Without disposing the petitioner's representation, the 1 st respondent is sell leasehold rights of the subject property. Hence, the petitioner has come forward with the present writ petition.
4.Though many grounds have been raised in this writ petition, learned counsel for the petitioner submit that, it would suffice, if this Court issues direction to the respondents 1 & 2 to consider the petitioner's representation dated 29.09.2025.
5.Learned Standing Counsel appearing for the 1 st respondent and learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 2 & 3 would submit that the representation of the petitioner dated 29.09.2025 will be considered and orders passed within a time frame that may be fixed by this Court. 6.Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.
7.Considering the limited relief sought for by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondents 1 & 2 to consider the petitioner's representation dated 29.09.2025, after giving due notice and opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioner as
well as aggrieved persons, if any, and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
