The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 01.09.2025, for the offence punishable under Sections 316(2), 318(4) of BNS in Crime No.120 of 2025, registered on the file of the respondent, seeks bail.

The allegation against the petitioner is that the petitioner is an astrologer and he got acquaintance with the defacto complainant and after gaining confidence, induced him to go for doubling the money activities and thereby the defacto complainant deposited a sum of Rs.8 lakhs on various dates and thereby cheated him. Hence, the case.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has been falsely implicated in this case. Hence, he prays to grant bail to the petitioner.

4. Learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police reiterated the prosecution case and submitted that, so far no money is recovered. Hence, he strongly opposed the grant of bail to the petitioner.

5. Heard both sides and perused the materials available on record.

6. Considering the magnitude of the amount involved in this case and the fact that no amount is recovered and investigation is early stage, this 2/4

Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
