Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Declaration declaring that the action of the respondents in directing the Women Junior Chemists to go the Collieries or Ports situated outside Tamil Nadu for Coal sampling works, as reflected in the Memo No.DCC/TTPS/SC-2/FJS/D14/2004 dated 08.01.2004 issued by the third respondent as illegal and unconstitutional and consequently, direct the respondents not to depute the Women Junior Chemists for such work.

When the matter was listed on 17.07.2017, it is represented by the learned counsel for the petitioner that he has given a change of vakalat. Hence, this court has directed the Registry https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Once again, when the matter was listed on 24.08.2017, there was no representation on behalf of the petitioner and it was directed to be listed on 29.08.2017 under the caption, 'for dismissal'. Even today (i.e., on 29.08.2017), when the matter is taken up for consideration, there is no representation on behalf of the petitioner. Therefore, this writ petition is dismissed for non- prosecution.
