Respondents Prayer : Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents herein to survey and measure the property comprised in S.No 157, admeasuring to an extent 1056 Sq.ft, the property situate at Door No.1, Anakaputhur village, Kennedy Nagar, Pallavaram Circle, Kancheepuram District and to fix the boundaries so as to fence the property based on the petitioner's remitted challan No.2025092602460 dated 26.09.2025 and consequently the respondents submit the report and handover to petitioner within time frame as fixed by this court.

ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents herein to survey and measure the property comprised in S.No 157, admeasuring to an extent 1056 Sq.ft, the property situate at Door No.1, Anakaputhur village, Kennedy Nagar, Pallavaram Circle, Kancheepuram District and to fix the boundaries so as to fence the property based on the petitioner's remitted challan No.2025092602460 dated 26.09.2025 and consequently to direct the respondents to submit the report and handover to petitioner within time frame as fixed by this court.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials available on record.

3. The petitioner owns the land comprised in S.No 157, admeasuring to an extent 1056 Sq.ft, the property situated at Door No.1, Anakaputhur village, Kennedy Nagar, Pallavaram Circle, Kancheepuram 2/6

District. In order to survey the said land, the petitioner submitted an application before the respondents and also paid requisite fees for the same. So far the respondents did not take any steps to survey and demarcate the aforementioned land belongs to the petitioner. Hence, this writ petition.

In view of the above, the first respondent is directed to survey the petitioner's aforesaid land based on the title deed produced by the petitioner, after issuance of notice to the adjacent land owners and counter parties, if there are, and to serve the survey report to the petitioner within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. It is made clear that, if the surveyor concerned is obstructed by third parties while surveying the subject land, the said surveyor can approach the jurisdictional police seeking police aid and on such request, the jurisdictional police shall provide adequate police protection to the surveyor.

5. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. There 3/6

shall be no order as to costs.
